Valence Framework 6.3.20251030 is now available. Changes in this build since the previous release are:?

• Nitro App Builder (NAB) - Grids: When Global Search is used, columns that are not applicable to the search value (e.g., column size is shorter than search string, or type of column does not apply) are no longer included in the search. If no columns apply to the search an exception message will be shown and the grid will not be reloaded.?
• NAB - Grids: Added new "clearSort" app variable linkage property that will clear the sort of the grid or set it to its default/original sort state\
• NAB - Grids: Corrected issue on download to Excel where, if the grid has column container(s) and the "Excel override" feature is used with the "Use base column format" option unchecked, the Excel document would lose the column container(s)
• NAB - Grids: Corrected issue where, on grids with column container(s), the first column in the container would always have center alignment instead of the alignment set on the column itself
• NAB - Edit Grids: Added "addRowCount" link widget property for local data edit grids that allows you to programmatically add row(s) to local data edit grids
• NAB - Edit Grids: Adjusted logic so when using local data, row menu and icon columns that call a back-end RPG on click will only pass that row, rather than the entire grid
• NAB - Edit Grids: When using local data, EXNABBTN-based programs can now use new procedures CommitRow and RemoveRow to visually commit (remove red change mark) or remove specific rows
• NAB - Edit Grids: Updated grid import to support double byte (Japanese) characters
• NAB - Edit Grids: Adjusted grid import logic to better support different date formats
• NAB - Edit Grids: Corrected issue with cell editing and date fields where the date field would register as changed even if the same/original date was selected (per forum post)
• NAB - Edit Grids: Corrected issue where configurable features (Add Record, Edit Record, Delete Record, Import) were not being applied to the edit popup window (per forum post)

• NAB - Forms: Added new "formFieldValueSilent" option to EXNABBTN-based programs to update a form field's value without triggering the "hasChanged" property of the form to change (per forum post)
• NAB - Forms: Added ability to left/center/right-align any non editable fields in Designer
• NAB - Forms: Adjusted Designer to better accommodate field sequencing within field groups, via a new popup window that can be activated by clicking on "Manage Fields"
• NAB - Forms: Adjusted Designer so, when selecting a field to add to a field group, it will no longer automatically collapse the dropdown picker so users can more easily select additional fields
• NAB - Forms: Corrected issue where an editable field with an input mask could start flickering if user was hitting the tab key quickly (per forum post)
• NAB - Forms: Corrected issue where field groups without a border, and containing fields with left or right alignment, did not have any spacing between field groups
• NAB - Forms and Grids: Added a field mapping window to Designer that will appear whenever widget configurations reference fields/columns that no longer exist in the data source, providing an opportunity to adjust the mapping instead of dropping the reference
• NAB - Behaviors: Added a Link Widget Property to set a column label when the grid includes an icon column (per forum post)
• NAB - Behaviors: Added new "nabShowSection" app variable that allows you to set the name of the section you want to show
• NAB - Behaviors: Added a new "getData" action to retrieve data from an existing data source. With this you can now link the total count of rows returned to an app variable, link all data returned to an app variable, link specific app variables to the first row returned, and trigger an event after data load is completed.
• NAB - Dropdown Multiselect: Corrected issue where, if the user is typing in the field and selects an item, the typed value remains in the input element
• NAB - Filters: Added a new filter setting under Miscellaneous called "Auto Apply Filters" (checked by default). If unchecked, and the filter is a date picker, checkbox, dropdown, lookup, or dropdown grid, the widget will no longer immediately apply the filter when value is changed.
• NAB - Filters: Corrected timing issue where a filter value set via an app variable would sometimes not be applied
• NAB - Filters: Corrected issue where a widget filter based on a vvIn_Virtual value would retain the previous value in session storage when filter field was cleared (per forum post)
• NAB - Filters: Corrected issue where multi-select combo using saved filter values (remember last value) would generate an invalid SQL statement
• NAB - Filters: Corrected issue where user filter set value linkage was not working if file or field name included multiple underscores
• NAB - Utility Widgets: Corrected issue where transforming an existing utility widget into a popup would sometimes not carry over the assigned name that was originally assigned to the widget
• NAB - Utility Widgets: Corrected issue in URL widget where it was not correctly structuring the url when running in the mobile portal
• NAB - General: Corrected issue with Tab Utility widget and Link Widget Properties not working with "inverted" values
• NAB - General: Added new "getData" link widget property to sync widget data to app variables
• NAB - Exit Programs: Increased maximum size of response in EXNABBTN-based programs, which was previously limited to 64K (per forum post)
• NAB - Data Sources: For SQL-based data sources, corrected issue in Designer where leaving statement blank would make the app unresponsive, forcing the user to reload NAB
• NAB - Developer Console: Adjusted to show the data source name in the network section when applicable
• NAB - Horizontal Containers: Corrected issue where a widget's fixed width within a horizontal container was not being saved in Designer
• NAB - Tab Containers: Corrected issue where setting a title or subtitle via an app variable would cause the application to crash
• NAB - Import/Export: Corrected issue where portal settings could start pulling values from the import instance after an import
• NAB - Import/Export: Corrected issue where linked data sources (i.e., those used in a drop-down) were not being included on an export for an app (per forum post)
• NAB - Dev Console: Updated the network list to include calls that are uploading a file (per forum post)
• RPG Toolkit: Adjusted vvUtility_lock to avoid occasional MSGW condition that could be caused when a front-end call to VVLOGIN does not pass a sid (session ID)
• RPG Tookit: Adjusted vvUtility_logError to avoid recursive posting of exception messages into error file stemming from calling VVMAIL_Send() in a non-CGI batch environment

Valence Framework 6.3.20251117 is now available. Changes in this build since the previous release are:

• Nitro App Builder (NAB) - Grids: Added a new link widget property available when checkbox selection is enabled: checkboxSelHide. When set to true, the column will be hidden, otherwise it will be shown
• NAB - Grids: Corrected issue with NabSetAllDecimalSeparators app variable changes only being applied to the first editable cell for the column rather than all cells
• NAB - Filters: Adjusted toolbar filter Reset button so it no longer resets the paging toolbar when clicked?
• NAB - Edit Grids: Adjusted rendering for cell editing on fields flagged as textareas, adjusting the styling so the full height of the textarea is visible
• NAB - Edit Grids: Adjusted UI so that disabled cells will no longer be highlighted as in error

• NAB - Forms: In Designer, the Allow Link Widget Property Reset Value section now lists all fields, including ones that are not editable
• NAB - Forms: Added a new "Don't Grow" option for fields transformed into a dropdown with multi-select turned on. When enabled, the field will not grow in height at all after item(s) are selected.
• NAB - Forms: Corrected issue where a field formerly highlighted as being in error would remain so even after the error condition was corrected
• NAB - Filters: Corrected issue where user filters set to appear in a popup window were not showing due to a console error
• NAB - Filters: Corrected issue in Designer where a console error would occur when user filters had "Enable Menu Overflow" checked
• NAB - Filters: Removed adjustment from prior build addressing ssue where widget filters based on app var via vvIn_Virtual were retaining previous value in session storage when filter field was cleared. Will readdress.
• NAB - Data Sources: Adjusted parser to support column lists after aliases in VALUES clauses or subqueries used in FROM clauses. Example: AS DummyFile (id, description)
• NAB - Data Sources: Adjusted parser to support functions within VALUES clauses
• NAB - Data Sources: Corrected issue where if a table function was used in select statement it would be limited to only one subsequent join statement
• NAB - Data Sources: Corrected SQL Parser so it parses correctly (VALUES(ABC)) as a result column correctly. Previously it was treating it as a sub select statement.
• NAB - General: Corrected a timing issue where setting the subtitle of a widget via link widget properties would sometimes not set the subtitle if the widget wasn't yet available?
• NAB - General: Rework the App Variables list in Designer: Expression columns will no longer wrap; improved tooltip readability for expressions; replaced the Do Not Pass to IBM i and Do Not Pass If Empty checkcolumns with a single combobox column
• NAB - General: Completely reworked the widget options form that appears in Designer when selecting a widget. Now includes ability to specify border width and radius for top/right/bottom/left
• NAB - Import/Export: Corrected an issue where a hard-bracketed substitution value inside VVSETTINGS could trigger a MSGW on import. Entailed an adjustment to vvIn_Char for session ID pulls.
• Fusion 5250: Corrected issue where copy/paste function would not work if user took an excessive amount of time to select the copy area

• NAB (Nitro App Builder) - Grids: Added support for dynamic checkbox selection visibility so when checkbox selection is enabled and the checkbox’s visibility is controlled by an app variable-dependent condition, changes made to the app variable will now re-evaluate the condition and re-render.
• NAB - Grids: Added new link-widget property checkboxClearSelection. When checkbox row selection is enabled and this property is set to true, the link widget will clear all selected rows in the grid.?
