Set Scale on Timeline Widget

Would it be possible to be able to preset the timeline widget scale to something other than days? When I use the scroll button on my mouse, the scale expands or contracts as I scroll up or down. It would be great if I could select the hour or 4 hour view as the default when the widget loads. Perhaps it could also be controlled using app variables. The ability to enable or disable the scale change using scrolling would be useful.

We have added this to our feature request list to investigate adding more options for the scale, etc
