  • Pivot Grid Column labels

    Hello,
In NAB when editing a section with a pivot grid and clicking the Link Widget Properties icon. I chose to Set subTitle and Set Column Labels with variables that I updated with an RPG program in an earlier step. When I run the App,the new column labels appear for a fraction of a second and then are replaced with the default label values for the pivot grid. The subTitle shows the value from the variable like I expected. Is there a way to prevent the default column headings from overwriting what I set in the Link Widget properties?
    Thanks,
    Bruce

Can you check the NAB Developer Console to verify that the app variable values used for the column labels are still the same value that you expect? Also, what version of Valence?

      Hi Sean,
I am on version 6.4.20260630.0. Developer console shows variables with expected values. When the pivot grid is shown, I see the expected headings for a split second, then the default headings take over.
      Thanks,
      Bruce

        Hello,
I tried something a little different in my testing for this problem. Using NAB, App Variables Icon, I set the initial value for the variables to "Oct" - "Sep" . When I run the app and show the pivot, I see those heading values. But If I look in the Developer console, it has the values that were set by my RPG program in a Row click event on the "Main" section, before I display the section with the pivot table. So, Link Widget Properties, Set Column Label is not pulling the current value of the variables when it displays the pivot grid. Sorry for all the screen, clips, it helped me explain the problem.
