  • Get Filter, Set Filter and Hide Filter

I have an app that displays 2 widgets. Both widgets are using a date range as a filter and both are grids. I decided to try using Get Filter from one widget and Set Filter on the 2nd widget so I could set the filters in one spot. I also used the Hide Filter option on the 2nd widget. What I noticed is that changing a filter value on the first widget immediately filters the 2nd widget, while the first widget requires me to Apply the filter. This behavior should probably be consistent across both widgets. Also, hiding the filters on the 2nd widget results in the Apply and Reset buttons still being displayed, despite no filter fields being available. They should probably be hidden if no filter fields are visible.

Widget user filters are intended for the widget itself, and if you need to filter more than one widget, creating a form that filters the widgets is the correct approach. We will investigate why the apply/reset buttons do not hide when all filters are hidden.
