  • Hide the Checkbox Row Selection Column

I've added a checkbox row selection to a grid used to display orders. I have conditioned the column to be enabled/disabled based on some row values and app variables.

Is there a way to have the column not display at all based on an app variable or other condition?

As of right now, you can just disable it; however, in the next 6.3 update, we will add it to the link widget properties > hide columns, so you can hide the column altogether.

As a follow-up question. Can the checkbox rows be enabled/disabled based on a NAB feature (directly or indirectly)?

I ask because the button associated with the action is conditioned by a feature (i.e. certain people are allowed to use that function). But I currently have check boxes enabled on some rows, but no action button. I do not see the "nabFeature" app variables available in the conditions

The grid checkboxes are currently not available to be disabled/enabled as a "feature". Although you could create an app variable that has an expression that uses the other feature app variable you mentioned.

I was able to hide the column based on the NAB feature that controls who can edit orders.

I attached app variable hideCheckboxCol to the nabCheckboxSel "Hide Columns" property.

I wasn't able to get an expression to work... but I just set the app variable in my startup program where I was disabling the editOrder feature.
