Pie Chart Labels and Legends

I'm trying to configure a pie chart. It looks like both the Data Field and Label Field are mandatory. The only options for Legend seem to be position. The legend always seems to display the contents of the Label Field. In my case, I want to display the value on each pie segment, but display the legend to identify the respective labels. This is what I would consider standard functionality for a pie chart. Is this possible? If not, can this be added as a change request?

Just to confirm: When you look at the example pie chart in the Valence Guide, where it shows the label names on each slice, are you saying you'd want to see the numeric Data Field values on each slice instead, leaving the Label Field names to the legend? So on the UI tab there would be a Display Label checkbox, or something along that line?
