Dropdowns with HTML

Hello,
I've been attempting to add color to dropdown elements via HTML to indicate "good" or "bad" elements (see attached). Looks great in the dropdown portion, but includes the HTML in the top box, whether dropdown is editable or not. Is there a way to make the top box be like the dropdown entries?

Hi Erin,

Unfortunately, browser input fields don't render HTML markup. However, I will add an item to our feature request list to see if we can provide an override for styling items in a dropdown list.
