Moving App between Development and Production

Moved a production app to Development instance... did some work & testing. Now I'd like to move it back to production.

Any caveats to moving it back? Can I do this while people are using the app?

Generally speaking that should be fine. Anyone already in the app when you push it back into production will not see the updated app / widgets until they launch it again.

That said, if you've made any fundamental changes to the data sources feeding the app's widgets, you could run into some runtime issues if the selection criteria or columns returned by the data source are no longer in line with what the original widgets were expecting.

FYI, in the forthcoming Valence 6.2 there will be filter in the Active Sessions app through which you can constrain the session list to just those currently running a specific app. That way you could easily identify who's using a changed app and ask them to exit the app, or just kill their session(s).
