Error Log and Error App

Is there a way to tell which app caused the records I see in the erors app or VVERRLOG file?

VVERRLOG is strictly for logging exceptions in back-end processes, so there's no front-end details in there. But if you're logging front-end calls in that instance then you should be able to find the corresponding record in Portal Admin > Logs by filtering on the user, job number and (approximate) time.

Perhaps in a future build we can make it so you can more easily drill down to the prior call log record from the Errors app, as I can see a good use case for that.
