I have a NAB app that shows a monitor of manufacturing operations and their durations and statuses.
The data sources used by the widgets in this app are continuously being updated by a batch program running all day long. The batch program (presently) has no need for any Valence functionality.
In the latest enhancement request, the users would like a pop-up widget to automatically appear on the monitor under certain conditions, and then disappear when those conditions are no longer true.
Is it possible for the permanently running batch program to Fire an Event that the NAB app would be listening for? What is the minimum in terms of /include and /define statements to allow this to happen?
Or is this just not possible? If not, any other suggestions?
