    How to use "Program to calll (optional)" in Nitro Query

    Please explain purpose of "Program to call (optional)" in Nitro Query and/or point to relevant documentation.

    I am interested in running a program to create a table and then query the resulting table in Nitro Query.

    Is this something that can be achieved by the "Program to call (optional)" functionality in Nitro Query?

    Yes, if you specify an exit program then the data source will make a call to that program prior to loading data. So you could have the specified program adjust the data in the database file the data source uses prior to the data being pulled. The exit program should accept a single parm (packed 15,5) which identifies the data source ID.
