Control of mobile vs. desktop portal by device and/or user?

If I have overlooked something I apologize, but it would be great if the user could pick their preferred portal -- preferably also keyed by device. The desktop portal seems to work well on iPads and Android tablets, but currently those devices are routed to the mobile login.

So, two questions come to mind:
- can we set portal preferences based on device or screen resolution or ??
- can we add a user preference for preferred portal?

We are coming out with something that will address this within the next few weeks.

Right now you could have the user choose by using the display parameter on the url. For example, if the user wants the mobile portal you use something like:

http://192.168.75.14:7040?display=touch

If the user wants the desktop portal you use something like:

http://192.168.75.14:7040?display=desktop
