    Hi

    I am trying to email from /html/examples/email/sendEmail.html
    and I am getting an error in valence 2.2 and 3.0
    Java is installed on my Iseries
    5722JC1 *BASE IBM Toolbox for Java
    5722JV1 *BASE IBM Developer Kit for Java
    5722JV1 5 Java Developer Kit 1.3
    5722JV1 6 Java Developer Kit 1.4
    5722JV1 7 Java Developer Kit 5.0
    5722JV1 8 J2SE 5.0 32 bit

    Here is the joblog from the valence22 witch is the same in valence30

    Library list changed.
    Current directory changed.
    Environment variable added.
    Environment variable added.
    Java Virtual Machine is Classic.
    JVM properties were loaded from a properties file.
    Java exception received when calling Java method.
    Function check. RNX0301 unmonitored by VVSRVPGM at statement 0000022700,

    The call to SENDEMAIL ended in error (C G D F).

          "localhost" is the default value for the host field in the email example and works fine in typical SMTP setups.

          However, after reviewing this issue, we were able to get it to work by using the named MAILROUTER from the SMTP attributes configuration (CHGSMTPA) in the host field of the email example (in the optional parameters section).

          I think something in the local configuration is preventing localhost from working as it usually does but using the named MAILROUTER provided a workable solution.
