  • [HELPED] execSQLtoSS Spreadsheet limit

Is there a limit to the number of columns I can create for a spreadsheet using execSQLtoSS? This would be for Excel 2010. If there is, what is the number?

I can tell you that Excel itself is limited to 256 columns.

I'm not positive without checking if any data structures in execSQLtoSS would make the limit lower.

Do you see issues below 256?

EDIT: I was wrong about these limits, in Excel 2010, the limit of columns is a pretty hefty number.

No, I just wondered if I can exceed 256.

Excel 2010 actually limits you to 16,384 columns, so I was very wrong before! That is the old info for previous versions of Excel.

The number of columns would be limited by the number of columns in an SQL statement, which I think for some IBM OS versions is 255. Valence has a limit of 750 columns.
