  • NAB Breaks When Popup Grid Editted with Fullscreen and Checkbox Row Selection

I have an issue where when certain things are true, NAB records an internal error to the browser console and becomes unusable. I've tried to narrow this down to be reproducible, the order of steps seems to be important in reproducing this.

    Reproduction steps:
    1. Create a new app with any form widget
    2. Create a new data source that selects from a table and has a vvin_virtual in the where clause
Data source I used (2 columns with one being a number and the other a character, but I don't think it matters):
    Code:
    SELECT
      cust#,
      cust,
      rrn(CALEXANDER.NUPTESTTB2) AS rrn1
    FROM
      calexander/nuptesttb2
    WHERE
      (
vvin_virtual('testtest', 'efg', 'char', 5, NULL, 'true') <> 'abc'
      )
    ?
    3. Create a new grid using this data source. Before saving the grid just select both the columns to show and leave everything else as the default.
    4. Open your app for editing, add the grid as a popup, set the popup to Fullscreen and "Save and Exit"
    5. Re-open your app for editing:
    a. navigate to the grid popup and click its "Link Widget Properties" icon button, then click "Cancel"
    b. expand the "Checkbox Row Selections" menu/area and check "Allow Multiple Selections", then click the "OK"
    c. at this point is where NAB logs an error about the setWidth function in the browser's console log and left side panel is not dismissed as you would have expected. If you were to try to "Save and Exit" it won't exit and most anything you click on is non-functional
    6. If you could not replicate the problem, then try all of step 5 again and don't click anything that's not mentioned

This was reproduced on Valence Framework 6.3.20260421.0. I have not been able to reproduce it on the older Valence Framework 6.3.20251117.0.

Any idea the cause of this? Also, once you fix this issue can we get a patch on 6.3.20260421 for NAB? We are very close to completing our testing of 6.3.20260421 and waiting for a new release requires us to start over.

We are still working on this one and will report back as soon as we have more information. Likely today or tomorrow

This should be fixed in the next 6.3 update. Thanks
