Buttons Disappear When Utitlity Info Widget is in Another Section

I have a strange issue I just stumbled across. I have a very simple test app with 2 sections. The Main section has a simple grid and 2 test buttons. The first button has a Hide linked to the app var called "hideMyBtn". The second button is not linked to any app var. The app var is setup with the initial value of "true". The Test section just has a Utility Info widget with the words "testtest" and I never show the section. This is absolutely no logic in the app beyond this. What you would expect when launching the app is that the first button is hidden and the second button is shown, but instead neither buttons are shown.

Note that even though the second section (the Test section) is not used, it is somehow needed to reproduce this odd behavior, along with needing to have the Utility Info widget as part of it; if I remove the Utility Info widget or the second section and then launch the app, then the second button is showing like it is supposed to.
