Set app Var used for buttons' text

Not sure what's different in version 6.3.20241120.

I'm doing from regression testing of my app and have discovered that the app var is not working when used for setting button text.

It does work in version 6.3.20240724.0.

I set 2 app vars in different ways and both are shown as blank for the buttons' text...

We are not able to replicate this. Did you place a debugger; statement after the if statement where the order type equals 'NewOrder' to ensure it's running? We created an app with two buttons and added a startup script that sets the app variables linked to the text of the buttons, and it worked as expected.

What about setting the initial app variable like the first screenshot?

I forgot to mention that this app is called within a URL widget.
