  • Nitro File Editor Failing Server Side

    Hello,

There have been issues since release with Nitro File Editor and there are server side failures which appear to relate to a missing object ARRAYLIST.

I have attached screen shots of a failed server side session.

If you need anything else please feel free to respond to this post or email me.

    Hi Glenn,

That's a strange one... Could you attach some screenshots of the call stack and library list for the job in MSGW?

Just curious, if you do a WRKOBJ VALENCE50/VVDATASRC do you see the object? Everything I'm seeing here seems to suggest it's not there anymore. As if it's been deleted or something.

Whatever the case, it'd be a good idea to get updated to the latest build anyway, which should resolve the problem if the object is indeed missing. You can download the latest build here.

And speaking of Valence 5, if you're looking for something to do tomorrow evening (18:00 UK time), you might find the Nitro Query webinar we're doing to be of interest to you. You can register for that here.

          Hi Rob,

I did a WRKOBJ VALENCE50/VVDATASRC and the object was not there, have installed the latest build 5.0.20160808.0 and still have the problem.

Now when I do WRKOBJ VALENCE50/VVDATASRC the object is there but the job log is still complaining about not being able to resolve to object ARRAYLIST as per my original post.

          Thanks
          Glenn

Sounds like we're going to need to get on a web meeting with you to see what's going on there. I'll send you a PM to get it arranged.

Update: I believe we've figured out the problem here. The missing object, ARRAYLIST, is a JSON service program utility, it was compiled to 7.1. So on a V6R1 system it would fail to restore during the installation. We will push out an update to resolve this issue in the next couple days.
