setting tool tip via back end program

so i have a grid with tooltips on each column (see attached), when i click search on my form, a back end rpg program is called which among other things, renames the columns. When the grid is returned, i lose my tool tips. How can i get around this? Thanks.

As of right now, when you change the name of the column, it does lose the tooltip. We will add this to our list to see if/what can be done.
