I have two data sources used in a Tree Grid, one for each level. I use the following vvin_virtual statements in the where clause and have them setup as filters for the Tree Grid (see screenshot).
I also have a CustName field in the select statement for the data source that is also setup as a filter for the Tree Grid.
The program 'NURI00120' is set as the Filter program.
I have came across several bugs with this sort of setup.
Bug 1) If the user changes any of the filters and presses the Apply button or the Enter key, the filter program ('NURI00120') does not get called. It still filters on the change filter fields properly, but the filter program should have been called. Once any other filter field is changed by the user (the CustName field which is not a vvin_virtual) and Apply is pressed, then from then on the NURI00120 filter gets called correctly on any subsequent changes and filtering by the user.
Bug 2) The 'Set Filters' in the 'Link to App Variables' section only seems to work on the non-vvin_virtual filter fields. It doesn't seem to do anything on the filters for the vvin_virtual fields.
Bug 3) If the user puts a single space in the filter for the vvin_virtual 'fSpec' and then applies it, a MSGW will be triggered. If the filter field is instead left completely empty or has some content in it, no MSGW is triggered and the filter works as expected.

vvin_virtual('fStartDate', '0001-01-01', 'date', 10)
vvin_virtual('fEndDate', '3000-01-01', 'date', 10)
vvin_virtual('fSpec', ' ', 'char', 2)
