Form widget loads/acts differently on second app launch on mobile

I've got a form widget for a mobile app where the user is meant to enter a bunch of data. Two of the fields are transformed into inline dropdown menus. For some reason, when I first launch the Valence mobile app and open the form entry app, the entire form takes up more space on the screen, and the dropdown menu selection does the thing where the drop down selections show up at the bottom of the screen, tinting the rest of the app.

However, I've noticed that if I close the app and reopen it (without closing the Valence Mobile app), it loads the form completely differently in a nicer, slim format. The dropdown menu also just does a regular dropdown screen connected to the field itself, taking up much less space.

I've tried changing the form's UI setting between all options (default, slim, ultra slim), but it doesn't seem to change the apps functionality in any way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Tiles Widget & Link to App Variable Enhancements

We would like to request the following enhancements:

Tiles Widget

Group By Field
- Add a Group By option similar to other widgets.
- Example: Group tiles by status so all Red (Late) tiles appear together and Green (On Time) tiles appear together, with each group starting on a new row.
Auto-Fill Horizontal Space
- When Tiles Per Row is set and Fixed Width is disabled, allow tiles to stretch and use the full row width.
- Example: If Tiles Per Row = 3 but only 2 tiles are displayed, those 2 tiles should expand to fill the row.
Auto-Fill Vertical Space
- Allow tiles to automatically stretch to utilize the available widget height, regardless of the number of rows returned.

Please allow runtime control of:

Vertical and Horizontal Flex and Width properties

Example: If Limit Results changes from 6 to 3, we should be able to dynamically reduce the widget's Vertical Flex to optimize the layout and eliminate unused space.

Valence-Mobile error Problem Starting Application nitroQuery 1416

Hello,
I am on version 6.4.20260824.0 and am getting this error when launching an app in Valence-Mobile. Problem Starting Application - nitroQuery1416. It give me an "OK" option and most times it displays the app. I don't think I ever got this error before I updated the version. I'm also getting this error when launching the "Active Sessions, Errors, App Usage" apps.

Single Quote Causes Filter Issues

image.pngFiltering on an app variable that has a single quote in it ends up internally adding too many single quotes to escape it and so does not find what it should. The test app I used has an app var already initialized to a value with a single quote in it and uses the app var on startup to filter the form.

Buttons on Tiles

I have an application that uses a tile widgets in a scrolling container. Each tile has buttons on the top of the tile. If I click a button on a tile that is displayed fully on the screen, the actions I've assigned to the button is performed. However, if only part of a tile is displayed, clicking on the button results in the action assigned to clicking the tile.

Floating Action Button Hidden Behind Popup Widget Settings Panel

When editing a Popup Widget, the floating Save/Close action button is hidden behind the popup widget settings panel, making it inaccessible at standard browser zoom levels.
To access the button, the browser zoom must be reduced to 90% or lower

Unsaved Changes Lost When Navigating via Nitro App Builder in v6.4

In Valence 6.4, App, App Variables, Behaviours, and Themes are independent sections, allowing direct navigation between them. This works well because unsaved changes are retained when moving between these sections, eliminating the need for warnings in most navigation scenarios.
However, if a user is in Behaviours, App Variables, or Themes and accidentally clicks the Nitro App Builder level/navigation item:

The user is taken out of the current section.
Any pending unsaved changes are lost.
No warning or confirmation message is displayed.

Warning only appears if we try to exist from APP Section. See below screen shot.

App variable filter ignored when grid downloaded in excel

In a grid, we have a filter based on AppVariable from datasource. In App, if we filter the grid and try to download the excel, the downloaded excel ignores the filter.
-It was working fine but we do not know which version may have caused the issue.
Right now we are on Latest 6.3 version, but we also tested these on 6.4 and it still didn't work.

Getting grid value by row click on Grid when multiple rows are selected.

In an App, if the grid has Multiple Selection Check Box as well as Row click enabled
Then if rows are selected and some other row is clicked, in Button Program GetFormChar picks the 1st clicked row instead of actual row clicked

Button on bottom of grid alingment

Hello all, I'm adding a button to the bottom of a grid widget and there is an empty row wasting space. Any idea how to fix this?

I have tried all the setting I could find in the widget and that hidden row will not go away.

No widgets in list

I'm trying to create a new app. When I try to add a widget, the list is empty. I've tried restarting the Valence server and upgrading to the latest version. Nothing clears the problem. I'm dead in the water

IBM Technology Refresh TR8

Last night we applied Technology Refresh TR8, and today our Valence can't be reached... Has anyone else had this issue after going to TR8 ?

Here's our current levels:

IBM i Release: V7R5M0
Technology Refresh: TR8
TR PTF Group: SF99957
TR Group Level: 8
Status: Installed

IBM confirms that SF99957 Level 8 = IBM i 7.5 Technology Refresh 8 (TR8), released July 24, 2026.

So last night's refresh brought us to IBM i 7.5 TR8, with HTTP Server Group SF99952 Level 32 also installed.
