    Kill Active Session(s)

    Problem:
Situation may occur where Valence app continuously attempts to re-connect mobile device without success. A Force Stop may be used to end Valence session but when you start a new Valence session Valence resumes re-connection mode to the previous running app.

Force Stop does not stop the app from resuming the previous app. The active session can only be ended successfully using Valence Active Sessions. However, the sessions needs to be ended twice before you can start an app.

With a mobile workforce, this becomes a genuine support issue. The mobile user needs to be able to self-help to end the session(s) without engaging support.

    Recommendation:
Provide a method (app on App Store/Play Store) for the user to kill active session(s) on the mobile device. This should disable any attempt to reconnect and resume the previous running app. After killing the app, the user should be able to start a new session without issue.

In addition, provide a Valence app that can be submitted or run on demand on the IBM i to terminate all Active sessions. This will be beneficial to end the Active Sessions prior to system backup if customers wish to leave the web servers active.

    Benefit:
Provides a clean method for mobile users to kill Active Session(s) if Valence has issues re-connecting. This will reduce Mobile Users support requirements.

Operations will have a method of ending Active Sessions on the IBM i outside of Valence without having to end active sessions individually.
