  • Saving Input for display on web page.

What is a safe way to save input from a NAB form into a column that will later be used to display info on a web page? I have a form field that is in the Rich Text Format. How can I safely encode the input so it will correctly display on a web page.

Kind of like how this forum page works. I am typing into a rich text editor right now. You have to be saving this in a file somewhere and then its shown back in the forum? Any advice is appreciated.

    I have tried using vvutility_encode.

    Thanks
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

Not completely sure what you mean by show correctly since the value from the rich text is HTML so it should show correctly on the browser when added to an element's html

Are you seeing something strange when displaying the value?

Sorry, I know its kind of vague. The text just doesn't show up. Just have the field value will show up and the rest will be cut off. I think I've confirmed its not too long. The Valence API docs web page does not work so I can't look at how long a string can be in vvOUT_toJsonPair result.

        Hi Ryan,

vvOut_toJsonPair will support up to 10000 characters for each name:value segment (including the colon separator).

You mentioned "The Valence API docs web page does not work" -- are you unable to get to this page?
