  • 'env' error

I keep getting the following error from users in the system:
    Program: VVSRVPGM Statement:
    Module: VVIN Message ID: VV00004
    Procedure:
    VVIN_NUM
    Message Text:
Attempt to cast post variable "env" into a numeric value failed.
    Help Text:
The data provided with the post variable was null
    Valence Login ID:
    TDB
    IBM i User:
    TDB
    Timestamp:
    2020-12-04-11.20.02.770000
    Job Number:
    388363
    Calling Program:
    VVSRVPGM
    Call Stack:
    VVCALL[VVCALL]-->VVSRVPGM{VVIN}[VVIN_NUM]

What could be causing this issue? I believe that it is from our mobile users primarily.

I believe this is a just a warning that is logged if the parameter was not passed down. I assume this is not causing a MSGW, correct?

The "env" parameter is meant to be used as an environment override for the call being made. If 0, then it continues to use the environment already assigned to that session. In Valence 6 we actually hide these warning messages unless you check a box to see them.
