Display fields on forms

This is probably a silly question. When I change a form field to a display field (Ext.form.field.Display) then form field is no longer submitted. If the "submitValue" is set to true then shouldn't the field be submitted?

Not a silly question at all. Display fields will not be submitted. I will give you two alternatives:

1.) Change your display field back to its original type (textfield, numberfield, etc...) and set the "readOnly" property to true.
2.) Leave your display field as is. Add a "hiddenfield" to your form. A "hiddenfield" will submit.
