  • [Answered] Hidden Apps

I have certain "child" apps that can only be instantiated from other "parent" apps. I don't want the child apps visible in the Launch pad... as they need information provided by the parent.

How do I hide the child apps in the Launch Pad?

    Solution:

Create a new Category and disable it. Put the child apps in the disabled category.

Minor residue of the disabled category exists in the drop down menu.

You can create a category in Portal Admin that isn't enabled so the user will not see the category/applications however you can still launch the application programmatically inside that hidden category.
