mobile flex recognition

When I open a two column-grid with width flex settings of 4 and 1, the second column is not on screen. You have to scroll over to access the column. When you rotate the mobile screen to landscape, the system picks up the screen size and automatically scales to screen. When I rotate back to portrait the second column disappears again. I have attached the screenshot of widget and app settings, and screen shot of UI. This function was broken on the newest update released this year.
